Net Zero
The balance between how much greenhouse gas (GHG) is produced and how much is removed from the atmosphere.
|
|
Carbon Neutral
The balance between the amount of carbon an organization, product, or individual emits into the atmosphere and the amount removed or offset.
|
|
So where carbon neutral claims generally only cover carbon emissions, often include offsets, and can refer to a specific product or service, net zero typically includes all GHG reductions and removals and encompasses the whole organization’s supply chain.
